Elpis Community Development Initiative is a registered non-governmental organisation based in Lagos, Nigeria, with a presence in London, United Kingdom. We are dedicated to empowering vulnerable women and youth across Nigeria through skill development, social safety nets, and community engagement.
The Elpis Scholarship Programme is an extension of our mission to create real opportunities for people who have the talent and drive to succeed but lack the financial means to access international education.

Tuition Fee
Full tuition fees covered for one complete academic year at the University of Cumbria, United Kingdom.

REQUIREMENTS
Who Can Apply
The Elpis Scholarship Programme is open to Nigerian citizens who meet the following criteria.
◆ Must be a Nigerian citizen
◆ Minimum WAEC/NECO results for undergraduate applicants
◆ Minimum of a Bachelor's degree for postgraduate applicants
◆ Must demonstrate a strong academic record
◆ Genuine commitment to personal development and community impact
APPLICATION PROCESS
Follow these steps to complete your application. Please ensure all documents are ready before you begin.
Pay the Application Fee
Pay the non-refundable application fee of N50,000 via bank transfer. Bank details are provided on the application form. Please use your full name as the payment reference and save your receipt.
Complete the Application Form
Fill out the online application form with your personal details, academic history, study plan, and upload all required documents, including proof of payment.
Our selection committee will review all applications carefully. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly via email and phone.

What does the scholarship cover?
The scholarship covers tuition fees for one academic year at the University of Cumbria, United Kingdom.
Is the application fee refundable?
No. The application fee of N50,000 is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Can I choose any course?
Yes, you can choose from the courses listed on the university’s website.
Does the scholarship cover accommodation?
The scholarship covers tuition fees only. Accommodation and other living expenses are the responsibility of the successful candidate.
How will I know if I am selected?
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly via email and phone. Please ensure your contact details are correct on the application form.
Do I need an international passport to apply?
No. You can apply without one. However, successful candidates will need a valid international passport to process their UK student visa.
Can I apply with an awaiting result?
Yes. You may apply with an awaiting result. If shortlisted, you will be required to provide your final result before the scholarship is confirmed.
